Part Two: Tehachapi’s 2021 SPED report – what did it say? | New
If you were among those who attended the March 23, 2021 Zoom meeting of the Tehachapi Unified School District Board of Trustees, you may have heard or viewed an online presentation on the special education study. – commonly referred to as the “SSC study” – which was completed at the end of January this year.
You wouldn’t have received a copy of the report the school district paid nearly $40,000 to have produced by an organization called School Services of California. You also wouldn’t have been able to view the report on the district’s website. Instead, a short presentation of the report was given at the school board meeting. (The copy reviewed in preparation for this article was obtained through a request from the California Public Records Act.)
