Topdanmark deploys Guidewire for reduced IT complexity and omnichannel customer engagement

LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Guidewire (NYSE: GWRE) today announced that Topdanmark, Denmark’s second-largest insurance company, has implemented Guidewire to reduce IT architecture complexity and focus on developing a solid platform with streamlined systems. The implementation will allow Topdanmark to more effectively engage with customers across multiple channels, digitize policy and billing processes, and enable self-service functionality.

Guidewire has been deployed across Topdanmark’s Wind Turbine, Real Estate and Content business lines in its Agriculture division. This was done in parallel with the deployment of a Salesforce platform deeply integrated with Guidewire. Further Guidewire deployments are planned for 2022 for their Private and Commercial divisions.

“It was vital for us to have the cornerstone from the start by creating core Danish insurance processes, integrations and customer communication,” said Monica Diaz, Head of Agriculture and Commercial Division. “With the cornerstone in place, we are now shifting our focus to developing additional products for our agricultural and private customers. We have had very few issues with the platform as we continue to roll out additional features at a high rate. Early internal feedback indicates that the platform is intuitive and easy to use, with around 150 users currently expected to grow to around 500-600.”

According to Topdanmark, more than ever, sales and service employees need to understand the specific needs and wants of their customers. In this case, the onus is on the insurance company to provide the technology, tools and knowledge to make this happen.
