There are 16 teams in the draw: the eight Europa League group winners will be seeded; the eight winners of the knockout play-offs will not be ranked.
Can teams from the same country play each other in the Europa League Round of 16?
No team may play against another team from the same national association.
Are the knockout stages of the Europa League held over two legs?
Draws are played over two legs, with the top seeds at home in the second leg. The level of ties after 180 minutes will go to extra time regardless of the number of goals scored by each team home and away. If the teams still cannot be separated after the extra 30 minutes, the tie goes to penalties.
